UPC … Helping All People Become All They Can Be in Jesus Christ

Palm/Passion Sunday

Palm Sunday

March 29, 2015

Jesus, Lamb of God, now faces the opposition that will overwhelm Him … but only for a short time.

Come. Experience the hope we have in Jesus.

Holy Week Schedule

HOLY THURSDAY… APRIL 2

This service commemorates the final Passover Meal that Jesus held with His disciples in an upper room in Jerusalem. It was at this meal that Jesus declared that the Passover Bread represented His body broken, and the wine of the Passover Cup represented His blood of the New Covenant. The service will be on April 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

GOOD FRIDAY… APRIL 3

This service will center on the meaning of the cross, as this is the day that marks the execution of Jesus Christ by crucifixion. This year we will take a look at Simon of Cyrene, the man who was forced to carry Jesus’ cross, as a way of coming to a new reconciliation point and healing for the unexpected burdens we often carry. The service will be on April 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

THE RESURRECTION… APRIL 5

This day (Easter) marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grip and power of death. We celebrate the victory, as Jesus is before us as the Resurrection and the Life. Communion will be celebrated at both services, emphasizing the theme of the heavenly banquet.
