 Mission Beyond Community

Our Church places importance on mission outside our community. In 2001 we established a partnership with Central Asia missions.  $8000 of our church budget is pledged to our Central Asia partnership in 2003.

We have also pledged at total of $20,000 to the General Mission of the Presbyterian Church. We follow the percentages recommended by Presbytery in dividing the money pledged to General Mission among General Assembly (29.5%), Synod of the Covenant (10.5%) and Eastminster Presbytery (60%).

Our congregation supports the four annual special offerings requested by PCUSA. In 2002, One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost Offering, Peacemaking Offering and the Christmas Joy Offering received a total of $3,512.18 through member donations.

In promoting interest and participation in mission work, our Church supports and encourages attendance at the New Wilmington Missionary Conference and sponsors a youth mission trip on alternate years. There is currently discussion of an adult mission trip in the future.
