Staff Positions and General Positions

 

 

Senior Pastor or Co-Pastors and Head of Staff (Full-Time)

The Senior Pastor will be responsible for directing worship services, performing pastoral duties, providing spiritual leadership, assuming administrative leadership and, with the Session, providing vision for God’s call to the future.

Accountable to and receive direction from Session, Personnel Committee and Eastminster Presbytery.

 

Director of Christian Education, Children & Youth Ministries (DCE) (Part Time approx. 30 hrs/wk)      

The DCE shall provide assistance to the Senior Pastor in carrying out the mission of Christian Education in the church, and performing specific duties as assigned under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.

Accountable to and receive direction from Senior Pastor/Head of Staff, Session, Personnel Committee, Christian Education Committee and Eastminster Presbytery.

 

Director of Music (Part-Time approx. 24 hrs/wk)

The Director of Music shall supervise all choirs and shall direct the choirs or recruit volunteer directors.  He or she will select and direct meaningful vocal and/or special music with other functions in concurrence with the Pastor(s).  He or she will also assume the responsibility for the proper functioning and appearance of choir equipment and musical instruments used in the worship services and rehearsals.

Accountable to and receives direction from Head of Staff, Worship Committee, and Personnel Committee.

 

Organist (Part-Time approx. 10 hrs/wk)

The church organist provides meaningful music during church services and other functions as required.

Accountable to and receives direction from Head of Staff, Director of Music, and Personnel Committee

 

Accompanist (Part-Time approx. 6 hrs/wk)

The accompanist accompanies the Chancel Choir during rehearsals, musical performances, scheduled tours and retreats.

Accountable to and receives direction from Head of Staff, Director of Music, and Personnel Committee.

 

New Creation Music Team Leader (new, Part-Time)

           

Church Secretary            (Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk)

The Church Secretary is in a unique position to present a favorable impression of the total church and its services to God through personality, work, actions and loyalty.  She or he is expected to keep communications about church business in absolute confidence.  The secretary is responsible for the efficient organization and production of work to be performed in the office and the execution of secretarial duties with minimal supervision.

Accountable to and receives direction from Head of Staff.

 

Custodian (Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk)

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the Church Building by keeping all areas inside and outside the building clean and in good repair.

Accountable to and receives direction from Building & Property Committee, Head of Staff, and Personnel Committee.

 

Church Treasurer (Part-Time, hrs/wk unknown)

The Church Treasurer maintains a set of accounting records sufficient to reflect accurate accounting of all financial transactions that shall be open to inspection by authorized church officers at reasonable times and for the annual audit.  He/she must be able to submit financial reports prepared in a manner that can be easily understood by all members of the congregation.

Accountable to & receives direction form: Session and Head of Staff.

 

Financial Secretary (Part-Time, hrs/wk unknown, presently under study by Session)

The Financial Secretary must sort, count, record, deposit and prepare appropriate financial reports for all offerings and collections of the church in a timely, accurate, efficient and prescribed manner.  He/she must be able to submit financial reports in a manner that can be easily understood by all members of the congregation.

Accountable to & receives direction from Session and Head of Staff.
