Meet Our Financial Secretary

Susie Souders

Susie provides direct support to the mission of the church by sorting, counting, recording, depositing and preparing financial reports for all offerings and collections of the church.  Susie also prepares and submits financial reports to the church treasurer and finance committee and to all members of the congregation.

Education:

Susie is a graduate of Rittman High School and a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting.  Susie brings 15 years of accounting experience to her role as financial secretary.  Susie works for Plank Accounting and Tax in Wadsworth.  Susie’s interests and hobbies are softball, water-skiing and other outdoor activities.  Susie lives in Cuyahoga Falls with husband of 14 years, Ward and children Rachel and Ryan. 

Susie, how would you describe UPC to someone who has never attended or who has been away for a while?  “Ward and I searched for 7 years to find the church for us here in the Falls and we found UPC to be warm and inviting.  We felt at home right away.  UPC has something to offer everyone.  We have two different worship services to fit your worship style.  There is a Sunday School Class for every age and stage of life.  We have a spring and fall Wednesday Night ALIVE program that bridges the gap between Sundays.  WNA allows you to choose from several different classes and also enjoy a wonderful meal with friends.  It is refreshing, energizing, and educational!  UPC also has many mission outreach programs for our community such as the free soup lunch and the food pantry.”

What are your favorite programs or activities at UPC?  “I like Wednesday Night ALIVE, Sunday school, Sunday morning worship, the Strawberry festival in June, and the special programs offered around Lent and Advent.” 

What is your favorite bible passage?  “Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
