Amy is a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended the University of Akron to study Elementary Education while also working in the hospitality/food industry.  Her love of the work persuaded her to pursue hospitality as a career and she became the Banquet Manager at Tangier where she stayed for 10 years.

Amy then became the Wedding Sales Manager at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls.  During this time, Amy was invited to attend UPC by Laura and Steve Evans.  Laura had worked for Amy at Tangier.  Amy became a member of UPC and served on the Building and Property Committee.

When the position of custodian became available, Amy saw it as more than a job opportunity.  Amy saw it as an opportunity to serve God and be a part of the UPC mission.  Amy joined the staff and has been a part of that mission for 8 years.  Amy has been a member of UPC for 10 years.

Amy’s other interest and hobbies are sewing, photography and throwing clay.

Amy, How would you describe UPC to someone who has never attended or who has been way for a while?  “UPC is a friendly, family oriented, God based church.  You’ll feel welcome whether you’re a first time visitor or you’ve been away for a while.  There are lots of activities and programs and a range of Sunday School programs as well as a Traditional and Contemporary worship service.”  What are your favorite programs or activities at UPC?  “Wednesday Night ALIVE is a great program.  It brings so many groups together and is a great way to build upon the previous Sunday’s lessons and worship while also looking ahead to the next Sunday.  Movie Night is my other favorite.  Its great fun to relax, have some popcorn, watch an old movie and make some new friends.”  Amy, what is your favorite Bible passage?  “All of Romans, Chapter 12.”
