As Treasurer, Wayne maintains a set of accounting records that reflects an accurate accounting of all financial transactions.  This includes but is not limited to preparing and disbursing payroll, disbursing church funds to budgeted accounts, preparing monthly reports to the Finance Committee and Session, and preparing the Annual Financial Report to be presented at the Annual Congregational Meeting.  As Treasurer, Wayne’s roll of providing an accurate picture of the financial health of UPC is essential to maintaining mission of UPC.

Education:  Wayne earned an accounting degree from the University of Akron and is employed at Firestone Credit Union.  Wayne has been affiliated with Firestone for 35 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in accounting to UPC.  For 27 years Wayne has maintained a steady devotion to UPC in his role as treasurer and as a 5^th grade Sunday School Teacher.  This combination of experience and dedication continues to nurture the UPC family and its mission.

In his spare time, Wayne enjoys playing Golf.  Wayne and his wife Crystal have been married 29 years and live in Cuyahoga Falls.

Wayne, how would you describe UPC to someone who has never attended or who has been away for a while?  “UPC has a variety of worship options and has a Sunday School Class to fit the needs of anyone.”

What are your favorite programs or activities at UPC?  “I really enjoy teaching the 5^th grade Sunday School Class, The Amazement Park program is great, and the once a year lock-in for the 5^th, 6^th, & 7^th graders is great fun.”
